About us

 Our history

Gene Analysis Service GmbH was founded in August 1998 by Dr. Alfred Cornelis Looman, with financing from four private shareholders, the Deutsche Ausgleichsbank, the Investitionsbank Berlin and the Dresdner Bank AG.

 Our primary activity

Our primary activity is the development of modern molecular biological methods for the quick analysis of genetic markers in humans and animals and for the detection of pathogenic microorganisms in biological products.
Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation. We offer complete, competent and flexible services, from the isolation of nucleic acids and the specific amplification of DNA fragments, to the ready-to-publish DNA sequence. With in-house expertise we design protocols for custom analysis.
Urgent medical diagnostic services are available 7 days a week, and are treated with preference and confidence. We specialize in rare genetic diseases, that are not covered by ready reaction kits and require complete exon sequencing.

We are dedicated to customer satisfaction!

 Our facilities

Our laboratory is situated in Berlin Tempelhof-Schöneberg of the German capital.

 Our quality management system

To ensure the highest levels of quality and service, our work is subject to stringent internal and external controls. Our quality management system is in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
